Where do you hold a Christmas party in Bremen that people actually remember?

Kangaroo Island at Schlachte 30A hosts Christmas parties from November to January: groups from 10, indoors on two floors right on the river, set menu or buffet on request (fish, grill, burgers), drinks packages available – and happy hour at the bar after dinner. Dinner with a river view, then the bar – no change of venue
The problem with most Christmas parties: the restaurant closes just when things get good. Not here. You eat on one of our two floors – long tables, dark wood, warm light – and then simply move on to the bar. No taxi, no second venue, no debate.
On the table: what Kangaroo Island is known for. Fish from the pan such as Bremen Pannfisch and plaice “Finkenwerder style”, burgers and grill for those who do not eat fish, and currywurst for the easy-going round. As a set menu, a buffet or à la carte – whatever suits your group. Vegetarian works too: bruschetta, salads, pasta.
The location does the rest. In Advent the Schlachte is Bremen’s Christmas mile on the water – mulled wine on the promenade, lights on the river. If you want to stroll the Christmas market first, it is right outside; the market square is five minutes away.

Questions about Christmas parties
What is the minimum group size for a Christmas party?
10 people. Smaller groups get their own table area, larger groups are spread across our two floors. Just tell us roughly how many you are – we will tell you honestly what works.
When is Christmas party season?
November to January. Advent weekends go first – if you want a Friday or Saturday in December, ask in October.
Is there a Christmas menu or buffet?
On request we put together a set menu or buffet for your group – from fish platters and burger rounds to the easy-going currywurst option. Drinks packages, a cocktail reception or a round of beer pong can be added. Ordering à la carte is fine too.
How much does a Christmas party cost?
It depends on group size, food and drinks – we do not work with off-the-shelf package prices. Send us the occasion, date and number of guests and you will get a concrete proposal.
Can we carry on after dinner?
Yes – after dinner the bar takes over. Happy hour from 10 pm with 30 % off all cocktails, plus shots, draught beer and music. Open Mon–Thu until 1 am, Fridays until 3 am, Sat/Sun until 11 pm.
How do colleagues get there – and home again?
Schlachte 30A is in the middle of the city centre: a five-minute walk from the market square, the Am Brill tram stop around the corner, the central station a few tram stops away. Car parks at Am Brill and in the city. And if anyone wants to stay over: the Kangarooms hotel is in the same building.
