Restaurant on the Schlachte Bremen – dining right on the river Weser
Between promenade and water: with us you sit as close to the Weser as you can get in Bremen.
The Schlachte is Bremen's living room by the water – and we have been part of it since 1999. Kangaroo Island is at Schlachte 30A, a few minutes' walk from the market square and from Am Brill. Inside you'll find two floors with a cosy, dark interior; outside, the terrace sits right on the promenade.
When the sun is out, the outdoor area becomes a beer garden: long wooden tables, cold beer, a view of the boats. In the evening, fairy lights and candles create the atmosphere many guests come back for. After-work beer, a date, a family dinner or a company party – almost every occasion fits here.
On the plate you'll find what suits the place: fresh fish such as pan-fried fish, plaice and cod, plus burgers from the grill, schnitzel and salads. Kitchen open daily until 10 pm, Fridays and Saturdays until midnight – after that the bar takes over with happy hour from 10 pm.
